Dr. Steve L. Shore, MD, FAAP, offers primary care services for children of all ages at Sandy Springs Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine P.C. Accruing 53 years of knowledge and professional experience, Dr. Shore, who is Board Certified in Pediatrics, offers a vast repertoire of expertise.
Excelling academically, Dr. Shore earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 1963, and accomplished a Master of Arts degree in History, from the University of Pennsylvania in the same year. In 1967, he went on to achieve his Medical Degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Between 1966 and 1968, Dr. Shore completed an Internship and Pediatric residency at Boston Children’s Hospital. After gaining valuable knowledge there, Dr. Shore then attended Emory University School of Medicine from 1972 to 1974, completing a Fellowship in Infectious Disease, as well as a Virology Fellowship at the University of Sheffield. From 1968 to 1981, Dr. Shore researched immunology and virology at the Centers for Disease Control.
Dr. Shore has personally been treating patients with the highest standard of pediatric care at Sandy Springs Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine P.C. for the past 39 years. Dr. Shore and his colleagues provide exceptional medical care offering a wide variety of services, including immunizations, well check-ups, sick visits, refills, dietician, acute illnesses, recurrent illnesses, attention deficit medications and after hours. His patients are treated for a range of conditions including muscular and skeletal infections, immune deficiencies, fevers of unknown origin, Kawasaki disease, Herpes simplex virus in infants and children, as well as recurrent staph infections.
Keeping ahead of the latest industry developments and innovations, Dr. Shore, who is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, maintains an active membership with the American Medical Association. He is additionally an expert witness for both plaintiffs and defense in cases involving young adults and pediatrics.
